Fun
in the Sun?
The sun didn't shine but that couldn't stop the fun at
Hampton Beach State Park. Our annual day at the beach with the campers
from Camp Allen was a great time for all. Many of the 40 attendees with
numerous camp staff and our group of volunteers still ventured down to
the water.
The water was COLD, but that didn't stop the brave from going out into the ocean. After the initial shock (we warned everyone before they hit the water), warm smiles triumphed over the water temperature as many of the bathers didn't want to come back to dry land.
The enticement of a barbeque lunch was usually enough to convince even the most persistent sea-goers to finally head back up the beach to the pavilion. Ice Cream, music and karaoke filled up the afternoon until everyone finally had to leave. We had a great time and hope that everyone from the camp did too. We look forward to visiting with all of our friends again next year.
