Thomas
D. Noonan
Business Agent
After
serving in the Marines from 1965-1969, Tom became a Teamster member
in 1972 as an employee of Anheuser Busch.
In
1973, Tom was elected as the Union Steward, a post he held until
becoming a Business Agent in 1983.
In
1982, Tom was elected President of Local 633.
In
addition to the strong representation Tom provides to his assignments,
he also brings the Teamsters' fight on behalf of working families
to the forefront in his capacity as the Human Rights Coordinator
for Local 633, as well as his post on the New Hampshire Appellate
Board for Employment Security.
Tom
also represented Labor as a Police Commissioner for the City of
Manchester, from 1982 until 1997.
Beginning
in 1995, Tom has volunteered his services to run the Boston Marathon,
if his fellow Teamsters would rise up to support the challenge alongside
him. With this challenge the Local 633 Scholarship Fund was born.
Since its inception, the Local 633 Scholarship Fund has literally
helped dozens of Teamster families meet the financial burden of
a college education.
